“My 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee started making a ticking noise the second time the default water pump was replaced 4 years ago in recall warranty and has made an audible ticking noise since then. Despite multiple complaints to two dealerships, in anniston, al and foley, al, I have been told the ticking was normal for the hemi 5.7l engine. Three weeks ago, I took a Jeep for a routine oil change and the technician wrote on my multi-point inspection paperwork 'noticed an audible ticking'. …”
NHTSA complaint #11374777, filed 2020-11, 214,000 miles“My vehicle is equipped with chrysler's ready alert braking system (rab) which chrysler says is not installed on my vehicle according to it's VIN. The rab system on my vehicle (which was recalled under your campaign 14v104000) caused an accident with injuries exactly you described as the reason for your recall campaign in the first place. Chrysler refuses to acknowledge vehicle is equipped with the system. I have owned the vehicle from new and the rab system was even demonstrated to me by the dealership salesperson during my original test drive. …”
NHTSA complaint #11395737, filed 2021-02, 16,000 miles“Plain and simple, I bought my Jeep new in 2014. It was equipped with ready alert braking (rab). In 2016 it failed to stop causing an accident and injuring my wife. Then recently I discovered the rab system on my car had been recalled (14v104000) back in 2014 and I had never been notified. As I reviewed the recall campaign it was abundantly clear it had caused my wife's 2016 accident and injuries. I contact Jeep's hotline relating in an odd quirk I had received written proof in an unrelated correspondence from chrysler that my 2013 was built with the rab system included. …”
NHTSA complaint #11404328, filed 2021-03, 12,000 miles“My Jeep Grand Cherokee . Tends to stall a lot when starting it up , it makes this loud cranking noise and take about 5-10 seconds to top. Also whenever I'm making sharp turns the Jeep feels like it's losing power and I have to push down on the break and start over . Also my forward warning collision and acc off is on dash board . Brake symbols along with traction off now pops up on the dash board. It's been over a year since I received the letter and I'm concerned due to safety issues it may cause . (also the start delay and car slowing down have been going on since I purchased the Jeep )”
NHTSA complaint #11406238, filed 2021-04, 60,000 miles“Cruise control suddenly does not kick off using controls unless brakes are applied, nor does it engage all of the time. There is no difference in when vehicle is moving or stationary but will sometimes occur after blinker is used. No blind spot detection alert or message at all.”
