“My Jeep has died on me as I'm traveling on the highway at rates of speed between 60-75 MPH. I have been able to coast to side of road fortunately so far. This has happened numerous times in the last 6 months. It will usually start back up in about 15 mins. A few times it took longer. There is no warning, it just loses power and will not accelerate. This has happened with and without cruise control in use.”
NHTSA complaint #11400150, filed 2021-03, 98,000 miles“The problem started with the key fob, after locking the car the doors would unlock and lock again with out my control. Then more electrical issues occurred, the lights flickered, the rear camera stopped working, and then driving the car eventually the power steering went out and it was dangerous as I was driving on the 405 free way and I was unable to pull over with out power steering.”
NHTSA complaint #11280687, filed 2019-11, 40,000 miles“I was in traffic going about 25-30 MPH when I lightly touched my gas pedal and my car wouldn't accelerate at all. Since I was going too slow I wasn't able to get to the left lane and the shoulder on the right lane was narrow so I sat half in the right lane half on the shoulder with a dead car for about five minutes before I could get it to turn back on. I was on a highway 495n in maryland during rush hour.”
NHTSA complaint #11375331, filed 2020-11, 141,000 miles“Recently, car started giving me a hard time to start. When it finally turns on it would sputter and turn off after a few seconds. Some lights flicker at times. Battery is fine. The ignition is sparking but doesn't turn the car on. Sometimes car turns on with no problem and I drive it for hours and sometimes it doesn't start at all or starts and turns off right away or after 10 seconds.”
NHTSA complaint #11124668, filed 2018-09, 64,000 miles“When pulling out of driveway, foot brake was applied but accelerator revved up and car lurched forward into traffic..barely avoided an accident. This is a serious safety issue. Contacted original dealer who said this was not a recall item and was dismissive. I requested that my complaint be put on file.”
