“The door handles on the interior of my Jeep are very brittle. 2 out of 4 handles are currently broken as they are made only of plastic. This is a major issue with my vehicle as it poses a safety risk. Many people online have this same issue, this needs to be looked into, I am fearful for myself and my families safety in this car.”

NHTSA complaint #11321640, filed 2020-04, 180,000 miles

“The interior door handles on both driver side are broken. The back driver passenger door handle finally broke. The driver door interior handle is going to go next. Im just worried about what would happen if it breaks if I get into an accident or if my car catches fire. Its a hazard and safety issue that needs to be addressed. I was im my driveway when it broke.”

NHTSA complaint #11075002, filed 2018-02, 140,000 miles

“Multiple times a day, the vehicle is shutting off while driving! The speedometer randomly drops to zero and the steering wheel locks up and the car shuts off! For this reason, I am scared to drive on the highway in fear that it will cause a major accident. Also, it will not turn back on immediately. I have to let it sit for around 5 minutes before it will turn back on.”

NHTSA complaint #11011676, filed 2017-07, 197,121 miles

“Clicking in dashboard upon start of vehicle for approximately 2 minutes straight. I have been told there are many other Jeep owners dealing with the same issue. It comes from the heater fan area. I was told by a mechanic its working now, its going to be expensive when it goes, as it's like $1000.00 to take the dash off .”

NHTSA complaint #10946854, filed 2017-01, 153,000 miles

“There has been an outstanding recall on the keys/ignition similar to GM. It is older than the hills but fiat chrysler hasn't done anything about it except waiting for parts. I believe I have waited long enough before we have a tragedy. Intermittently, the dash lights go on and go off. It has been traced to the ignition switch.”
