“This vehicle has quit running several times since we have owned it while drivingthe engine will just quit. We can move the shift lever in neutral and it will start back up, but this is still dangerous, especially when my wife is driving. It has happened to her 3 times now and happened to me 2 times in about last 5 years.”

“I was on my way to work and in mid motion the cars engine power steering and brakes shut off. Luckily I was going slow enough that I was able to stop my car and restart it without any accidents. But I'm terrified the next time will I won't be so lucky.”

NHTSA complaint #10762807, filed 2015-09, 80,000 miles

“The rack and pinion on my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee is completely worn out and makes considerable amounts of noise when decreasing in speed. Car has 47,000 miles and before my warranty was up at 36,000 I took the vehicle in for rear end inspection and they found no problems. This is fraud, and now I have to pay $1350 to have the rack and pinion replaced.”
