“Driving, lost all power to steering, brakes and engine. Crossed over double yellow and narrowly escaped a collision with the guardrail. Had any car been in the opposite lane, I would have been severely injured. I am a mother of two. It was sudden as without warning. Additionally I had to call out of work hence loss of income.”

NHTSA complaint #11408005, filed 2021-04, 100 miles

“It's been since may 2018 with in/out visits to the dealership for a constant problem. My steering wheel wobbles over 70mph on my 2015 Grand Cherokee wk2 high altitude, all standard features. This started after 26k miles and now I have 39k miles. I've researched dozens of forums and read through tsbs with no solution. …”

NHTSA complaint #11171882, filed 2019-01, 26,000 miles

“Vehicle loses power steering intermittently. It's still under warranty and has been to three different dealers 5 times. It's presently at arrigo Jeep in ft pierce fl and has been for over a week. They do not return my call. This has also been reported to chrysler. Loss of power steering can happen in motion or stationary. Very dangerous. I have all service docs.”

NHTSA complaint #11074903, filed 2018-02, 22,000 miles

“During a routine check of vehicle fluids, I discovered that the power steering reservoir was empty. The dealer said power steering reservoir is low from factory and is topped off during service . I reported this to Jeep customer assistance, but have not received a response. I haven't noticed any steering problems, but I am concerned that this a potential safety issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11082087, filed 2018-03, 14,014 miles

“I went in to have a routine oil change and found out that I needed to replace my rack and pinion. My Jeep is a 2015 Grand Cherokee with less than 45,000 miles. The primary use of the vehicle is just getting back and forth to work and it has never been driven off of a paved road. This is not a failure that should be incurred this early on in the jeeps life with an owner that is only driving it casually.”
