“When driving for about 20mn after slowing down to go threw town and coming to a stop. I will start driving again and. Trying to get up to speed my Jeep will not shift gears. I have been in neutral for several minutes before it shifts. This has happened several times. It has also hard shifted, and has had surged of power where it lunges a head.”

NHTSA complaint #11194847, filed 2019-04, 59,000 miles

“My Jeep stalled in 50mph traffic causing a horribly dangerous situation. I barely coasted to the side of the road, and it wouldn't restart. I had it towed to the dealer where I was later told my tone/reluctor wheel had broken resulting in loss of signal from the crankshaft sensor so the vehicle shut down.”

NHTSA complaint #11396472, filed 2021-02, 104,000 miles

“I had the approved emissions modification completed on my ecodiesel Grand Cherokee. Since these was completed there is a very noticeable lag when pressing on the gas. When trying to pull out into an intersection the lag is so bad (1-3 seconds) and you feel as if you are unable to move. This is going to cause some sort of accident as it is a definite safety hazard”

NHTSA complaint #11267056, filed 2019-10, 50,200 miles

“2015 Grand Cherokee altitude- 3.6l. Just hit 95000 miles and suddenly car continues to up shift to 8th gear even at lower speeds. When accelerator is depressed, car will downshift but with no acceleration depressed, car will move all the way to 8th. Downhill, trans won't shift beyond 3rd gear likely to engine braking only. This is my 5th Jeep and my 4th time dealing with this issue across my jeeps.”

NHTSA complaint #11322561, filed 2020-04, 95,000 miles

“I entered the parking lot of a gas station and put the vehicle in park but left the engine running. I exited the vehicle and when I returned 30 seconds later I found it had rolled 50 feet and struck a building. Instead of park I found the vehicle in neutral . Nobody was injured but I have damage to my vehicle and property damage to a library.”
