“Out of nowhere, my 2015 Jeep gc decelerated, all the lights on the dash came on and the following messages popped up: auto park disabled, service electronic throttle control, and ended with service shifter. The truck would not accelerate in the middle of a highway. I took the vehicle to the dealer where they cannot seem to find the problem. The windshield wipers turned themselves on along with the check engine light and the hazards.”

NHTSA complaint #11254676, filed 2019-09, 64,187 miles

“While driving in stop and go traffic I was stopped with my foot in the brake pedal the engine started revving into high rpms the car stated surging and the brakes wouldn't stop the car. I rear ended the vehicle in front of me.”

NHTSA complaint #11220926, filed 2019-06, 27,700 miles

“Driving my Grand Cherokee on I-40 with cruise control set to 75, I entered a construction zone and applied the brakes to slow down. Instead of slowing down, the car accelerated up to about 90 MPH. I was speeding in and out of traffic like a mad person and, luckily, I managed to keep my wife and I alive. Then the brakes were on the floor, I could not disconnect the cruise control, could not shift out of gear and could not turn the car off. After a period of time, we began a slight incline and the car slowed. …”

NHTSA complaint #11196023, filed 2019-04, 58,000 miles

“The vehicle locked when I was stopped in traffic in the highway, rendering the vehicle disabled in traffic while in drive. I pressed on the gas pedal but did not move. I hit my emergency lights placed the car in park and then shifted back to drive but got no movement. I then turned off the vehicle and restarted the vehicle and was able to move off the highway and took the surface streets to get home. I saw on this site there is a recall for 2016 models which is recall s28.”

NHTSA complaint #10872465, filed 2016-06, 21,000 miles

“Third time of incident. While parallel parking, and shifting from reverse into drive, while foot is still on the brake the vehicle revs and lurches forward. 1st 2 times involved parking on snow/ice. Today, with a dry street and sneakers, vehicle began to rev. I attempted to shift into park to avoid lurching forward but failed to do so in time. When vehicle revs, I hold onto steering wheel and press brake with all my strength but unable to prevent the forward movement.”
