“The forward collisin control was turned on. It started beeping when no one was near me at all from any side of vehicle. Then the brakes slammed like it was preventing a rear end collisin by my vehicle. My car slid to a stop at approximately 40 miles an hour. It scared the crap out of me and I have had that safety sensor option turned to off ever since this incident.”
NHTSA complaint #11365637, filed 2020-10, 120,000 miles“Hard shifting in low heats and also on the highway trying to pass another vehicle the my Jeep hesitates before it accelerates and starts to function properly again. Keep dealerships have replaced transmission 2 times since I purchased the vehicle. Also have some multiple software updates and issue still persists.”
NHTSA complaint #11364286, filed 2020-10, 34,000 miles“The passenger head rest in my Jeep g c deployed for no reason as the vehicle was in motion ( on the city streets) few weeks ago. This is a safety mechanism build into the jeeps for safety purposes. Not so safe when it randomly deployed. It wonder when the driver side will deploy hitting me in the back of the head while driving.”
NHTSA complaint #11105130, filed 2018-07, 34,000 miles“After parking vehicle in my driveway at home, I opened the door and rotated my body to exit the car when I heard a very loud 'pop' and realized the headrest had come very far forward. I found pieces of plastic in the seat behind me and am unable to move the headrest back to a 'closed' position.”
NHTSA complaint #11372569, filed 2020-11, 106,000 miles“Leather dashboard is bubbling and Jeep chrysler is stating I am no longer covered under my limited warranty. Extended warranty only covers power-train. The leather on my entire dashboard has started to bubble and I would like Jeep to cover this expense. Vehicle is only 5 years old and has 65,000 miles.”
