“Fuel line issues (evap code is being thrown) code 'service shifter' and the prnds flashes. As I accelerate the car won't shift past 1st gear. I turned the car off and back on, the same shifter memo was on the screen accompanied by 'service transmisson'. I was not able to go more than 30 MPH with the RPM at about 4,000. I was on a city street.”

NHTSA complaint #11341597, filed 2020-07, 113,660 miles

“Drove my car a short distance to a destination. Turned the car off to complete my errand. Returned to my car 10 minutes late and my car would not start. The equipment would come on,I.e. Radio, lights, but brake seemed to be locked and engine would not start. This happened during city street driving. I just purchase the garden the dealer about 3mos ago.”

NHTSA complaint #11208870, filed 2019-05, 58 miles

“As approaching an intersection I began to coast and place my foot on the brake. At the time I started to brake, the vehicle surged forward for 1 second. As I came closer to a stop, the vehicle surged again at which point I had to stand on the brake pedal to prevent me and my family from rear-ending a vehicle and going into a busy intersection.”

NHTSA complaint #11182891, filed 2019-02, 62,000 miles

“Driver side air conditioner blows hot air even when temp is set as low as 63 degrees while the passenger side works normally. Service rep at dealership informed me that this is a common problem with Jeep vehicles. Was told repairs could be over $1000. If Jeep knows that this is a reoccurring problem, why should I have to pay for their error?”

NHTSA complaint #11194975, filed 2019-04, 100,900 miles

“Cylinder head misfire #2 and service four wheel drive light. I had taken it in to our local mechanic he said the head needs to be replaced there is a current recall and extended warranty out now with the same problems but our Jeep is not on the VIN list (pentastar tic) is what our mechanic called it.”
