“I was driving within a city and came to a red light. Since my car is a hybrid (2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, also I just purchased this lease in April 2025) the car will switch to the EV battery when I come to a halt and when I propel forward the car will either remain on the EV battery (if the battery has mile range) or it will switch to the engine. …”

NHTSA complaint #11663539, filed 2025-05

“1).While driving the message shows up: Vehicle is not in park. Then the motor shuts off (at any speed). This happened several times (I was on my way to take my wife to chemo infusions)! This is very dangerous when driving and caused almost an accident on the highway!!! 2), When turning the motor on, the seat moves into the pre-set drivers position, then moves back again and then the motor shots off. The car can't be driven then for a few minutes.”

NHTSA complaint #11772110, filed 2026-10

“The current recall with loss of propulsion occurred in my vehicle on 10/16/2025 at 5:10pm while I was on the highway during rush hour. Thankfully I didn’t get injured, this is so dangerous. I’m afraid to drive this vehicle in fear of it occurring again.”

NHTSA complaint #11693965, filed 2025-10

“Car cut off while driving, again. Full dashboard started to flash, warnings, stated that there was no battery, no gas. I was stopped in traffic and managed to pull over and had restart the car. This is the second time that it has cut off while driving . The first time my toddler son was in the car in morning traffic and it cut off. This is an extreme safety hazard for myself, my family and others driving. The entire system failed. It was supposedly fixed before but the problem is still there.”

NHTSA complaint #11764600, filed 2026-09

“This recalled vehicle cannot be driven safely. No remedy is available. I am paying for a lease. I cannot use and requesting federal assistance for a lease termination or replacement..”
