“Component (diode) on 60 pin PCM has a short causing injector number 6 to stick wide open. Result is a cylinder compressing fuel which can lead to explosion, also raw fuel escaping out of the tail pipe and large amounts of smoke. Gasoline pulls the oil off of cylinder wall causing excessive friction and engine damage along with catalytic converter damage. If rear ended when injector is sticking open could cause explosion or fire! I have confirmed this on 3 other 93-95 Grand Cherokee obd I models as well. Jeep was idling near someone welding and the injector stuck open and started a fire. …”

NHTSA complaint #11183244, filed 2019-02, 243,000 miles

“It acts as though it is shifting gears but it isn't, then within 5 miles it dies. We have replaced plugs, wires, battery, all kinds of sensors, the computers and still it will not go 10 miles before shutdown. Then I have to wait 15 minutes, before it will start back up to even go down the road. I live 30 miles from a dealership to even have it put on the computer. It would take me all day to drive it to get there just to hopefully find out what is wrong. I can't afford to keep trying this part and that part just to even try to get to work. …”
