“Had just purchased a Jeep Liberty used --first time I drove it on a wet road-I was braking as usual at a red light--the car skidded and swerved 40 feet, finally stopping but not before I had to very off the road to avoid hitting the car in front of me --I was only going 30-35 miles an hour when I started braking--I was terrified by the fact that the car would not stop and could only imagine what would have happened under different circumstances!! …”

“Speedometer, cruise control, brake warning lamp and ABS light on, mileage counter not working, check engine light on as well, car dies or stall when slowing down even on hwy or when turning. We have replaced almost everything we can think of. Look online and hundred if not thousands of owners have exact same problems and no solution to problem. “Driving along behind several other vehicles, the weather was warm and the roadway was dry. Due to a red light, vehicles ahead rapidly slowed to a stop. I was traveling at about 30mph and applied my brake pedal to avoid hitting the slowly moving vehicle ahead. My vehicle failed to slow down and I pumped the brakes to no avail. I turned to the right and continued to pump the brake pedal. The brake finally caught and the vehicle came to a stop within two feet to the right of the stopped vehicle ahead. It resembled the feeling of ABS on an icy road, but road conditions were excellent at the time. …”

“I was attempting to stop, going downhill on a day it had rained but was no longer raining. I had my 4 year old daughter in the car the day of this incident. I applied the brakes to stop because another car was making a left hand turn at the end of the hill and the vehicle started to slide I was going approximately 25 miles an hour, and luckily started to stop in time because I slide almost 50 feet and turned the wheel sharply to avoid the car.
