2008: “When driving on a bumpy road, sometimes the car goes into a really serious vibration mode. The first time it happened I thought I had a flat tire. I pulled over and looked; all tires were fine, and I drove away like nothing ever happened. This condition has occurred three separate times, now I move to the right and slow way down and the vibration stops. I'm afraid to take the car on the freeway.”

2007: “Each time I add fuel from a gas pump, once the pump stops automatically, the fuel spits out fuel, as if there is too much air getting into the tank and pushing out the fuel. This happens all the time, and gas gets all over my tire cover, Jeep body, and even sometimes on me, if I am holding the pump.”

NHTSA complaint #11131468, filed 2018-09, 140,000 miles

2009: “When filling gas tank, gasoline burps or spitsback out of the vehicles gas tank after the fuel hose has clicked off. Approximately 1/4 to 1/2 gallon of fuel spills onto the bumper of vehicle and ground. To prevent it from happening I only fill my tank with 15 gallons after the low fuel light has come on.”
