Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“I was involved in a single vehicle collision, with multiple front end impacts and significant damage to the vehicle. I was driving approximately 35-40 MPH, when I hydroplaned (this is my best guess, I really don't note what happened), and veered to the shoulder. The Jeep then went off the road, drove through a deep rain-filled ditch, hit the front end of that ditch, launching the Jeep airborne. During that impact, the front axle was ripped off. …”

NHTSA complaint #10823598, filed 2016-02, 60,000 miles

“I was involved in a single vehicle accident on 10/5/15, traveling approximately 30mph, when my Jeep suddenly jerked to the right without warning, causing it to swerve off the road and into a ditch. The Jeep hit the front end of the ditch at an angle that launched it airborne, then landed on the cement wall of a culvert approximately two feet away. The Jeep bounced twice on the cement wall, cracking the frame in two places, then landed in the culvert, hit the front end of the culvert, then hit a small pole where it finally stopped. …”

NHTSA complaint #10981445, filed 2017-04, 43,576 miles

“I went to my local dealer to perform the recall on the passenger airbag which they performed and as a result of that replacement I now have the airbag warning light illuminated on my dash, the steering wheel controls no longer work, horn included and when I mentioned it to the service technician they indicated that I would have to incur the cost of diagnosing the problem and covering the costs. All was working fine until the airbag recall. To my knowledge the vehicle was in a bay being worked on for the recall. The date reflects the day the steering wheel controls stopped working”

NHTSA complaint #11279560, filed 2019-11, 198,000 miles

“I was involved in a single vehicle accident on 10/2/2015 involving 2012 Jeep Wrangler, my vehicle jerked to the right suddenly causing me to lose control. The Jeep was jerked off the road into a ditch on the right, hit the front end of the ditch and was launched airborne, then crashed on the cement wall of a second ditch, bouncing twice before landing in the ditch and hitting the front end of that ditch. I repeatedly slammed on my brakes but they did not engage. My airbags did not deploy. My seat belt tensioner did not engage, causing me to be thrown forward and backwards repeatedly. …”

NHTSA complaint #11024190, filed 2017-09, 40,000 miles

“Both the front drivers side and front passenger side seat belts no longer retract fully. The mechanism and surrounding areas seems to be free of debris. Additionally the airbag light comes on and off when anyone sits in the front passenger seat. I travel in the vehicle alone mostly. The fact that the seat belts and airbag systems are not working properly caused me to call a local dealership about repair and they told me the could not assist for more than a month.”
