“The passenger sliding doors on my 2009 Kia Sedona is very hard to open, sometimes, the right door can not be opened at all. There was a door latch recall in 2011, I had the latches attended to, afterwards, the doors worked for a while and then they stopped and havent worked since. Also, the automatic feature only worked for 9 months after purchasing the vehicle. This is a real safety hazard due to the door not allowing you to enter or exit if a problem occurs. …”
NHTSA complaint #10511107, filed 2013-04, 40,000 miles“The driver seat's front right tie down system has broken from seemingly inadequate steel cross sectional area abd anoverall a bad design. The power seat is manufactured by modifying manual seat with obvious defects, as a result of which the mounting/connection parts are subjected to stress and combined with inadequate sizes of sections definitely resulted in breaks.”
NHTSA complaint #10579155, filed 2014-04, 207,000 miles“A recall was issued. We took the vehicle to the dealer for repair. We were told they could not do the repair as they did not have the tool needed. That was on june 23, 2017. After many phone calls, often daily, there is no resolution. Kia keeps contacting the dealer, who keeps saying they do not have the tool. We have requested a loaner car until the repair can occur. We have been denied. Today I was told they will contact me by next thursday (7/27/17) with a response. To date it is one month since we first tried to get the recall repair completed. …”
