Example complaints

Electrical system: “My 2014 Lexus IS 250 driver's side door will not unlock or let me in at random. When approaching the vehicle and pressing the unlock button on my key fob, all doors will unlock except the driver's side door. When this occurs, you must walk to the other side of the vehicle, manually unlock the door, and then it will work again until the next time you need access to the vehicle. This is a huge safety concern, as there is no guarantee that I will be able to enter the safety of my vehicle when needed. …”

Other or unknown: “Musty odor when using air conditioning. Lexus technicians tolld me to put air system on recycle to prevent smell. I did that and smell is back. I have never had a car do this. After research, there seems to be a problem with this model car”

NHTSA complaint #10980966, filed 2017-04, 500 miles

Suspension: “Lexus is vehicles are subject to excessive inner tire wear. Vehicles serviced at Lexus dealership are not properly inspected. Even after providing proper maintenance by the dealership such as tire alignment. The aggressive camber applied these Lexus vehicles can possibly cause accidents because divers are unaware of the excessive wear and often times are not told about tire issues after taking their vehicle to the dealership for service. Personally speaking I found my self with this situation, when driving home on the freeway. …”
