2019: “When I was parked on a city street I accidentally bumped the gear shift lever in my 2019 sprinter after pressing the ignition button that is directly in front of the lever. This put it into neutral without me knowing, without a beep or any signal that it was not in park any longer. I ended up rolling the vehicle backwards into another parked car when I let my foot off the brake. This is incredibly dangerous and should be reviewed. …”
NHTSA complaint #11298470, filed 2020-01, 3,500 miles2020: “On occasion the vehicle will loose almost all power. It occurs at random times. It could be deadly if merging into traffic or crossing an intersection where the other drivers don’t have to stop. I have no idea why it does this. It seems to happen more in the cold and maybe at altitude. It has happened at sea level and 70 degrees though too. By cold I mean 32 F and 5000’”
NHTSA complaint #11472228, filed 2022-072021: “I was driving on rural roads about 20 mph slowing for a stop light and the back of my vehicle began bucking and making very loud banging noises. I looked under the vehicle and found both welds to the rear differential were sheared off and the axle was only held on by the rear suspension. If I was on the highway I could have been killed.”
