2014: “Traveling at highway speed, traffic slowed. As traffic was slowing and I was braking traffic came to a sudden stop. I was maintaining my normal following distance, yet the vehicle seemed to take a longer distance than normal to stop. I impacted the vehicle in front of me hard enough to bend the frame, yet the air bag did not deploy.”
NHTSA complaint #11071653, filed 2018-02, 37,900 miles2016: “Feel have a braking problem with NV 3500 2016. In normal braking seems to work well. In hard stops and panic braking pedal goes to the floor or end of travel. Feel I must pump brakes to get maximum braking and a return of pedal. Dealership and Nissan rep. Say this is a normal braking for the vehicle. I feel if I have to pump the pedal to return braking power, I might have a potential serious problem. So far Nissan has told me my brakes are normal, which I question?”
NHTSA complaint #10956989, filed 2017-02, 32 miles2019: “In april of 2020 we started having electrical issues- the blinkers were going crazy, headlights would not turn off, a strange smell emitting from the air vents, etc so we decided to bring it back to the dealership to be evaluated as we had just at 600 miles on it. It was found to be an issue with the computer module and after being repaired was given back. Fast forward to september 6 at 3,202 miles we noticed the same smell and the blinkers were going very fast again so we headed home and once again called our dealership. …”
