“Nissan of irvine failed to put all six lug nuts back on my driver side rear tire after a tire rotation. As I was getting on the freeway less than a mile from the dealership I began to lose control of my truck and my wheel came off.”
NHTSA complaint #11331282, filed 2020-06, 40,202 miles“Pro comp lift kit was installed by dealership. In january 29, 2018 while traveling at about 20 MPH on a flat, paved, residential city street, a nut/bolt came off, causing the suspension to collapse. This caused the vehicle to become incapacitated, when left rear tire was pushed into rear wheel well. There are also issues with front left tire rubbing against wheel well and slipping when turning to park.”
NHTSA complaint #11076455, filed 2018-03, 1,100 miles“The vehicle started exhibiting very loose steering behavior and a clunking noise from the front end. The steering wheel has play from 45deg turned to the left to 45deg turned to the right without affecting the direction of travel. The stability control would attempt to keep the vehicle moving in a straight line when turned to the left or right, regardless of speed (<25mph - 70mph) on dry, warm roads. When the stability control attempted to keep the vehicle moving straight through a turn, it was necessary to quickly apply the brakes to keep the vehicle from leaving the road surface. …”
