“Takata recall. I purchased the car the beginning of this year in january. When I test drove the car it was already making a loud humming noise that worsen. Once purchased and droved off lot I noticed that the cig lighter/battery charger didn't work even when I changed the fuse. The door locked on the passenger side got stuck, the brakes went out while driving, the windshield wipers stop working while driving in pouring rain and now out of nowhere the tire on the front passenger side is on a flat.”

“I was driving and my power steering light came on and I lost power steering. I almost bit a car and went in the ditch. I am being told by GM that it's not covered because I have 2007 G6.”

NHTSA complaint #10579036, filed 2014-04, 178,000 miles

“Water pump - continuous replacement of water pump about every 2 to 2-1/2 years (after original has quit working) along with thermostat replacement. This process is extremely time consuming and onerous to complete within a typical 8 hour day, along with a fluid drain, flush and replacement with fresh fluid. Also, constant regular replacement of both front hub assemblies, though not quite as time consuming, is still a burdensome issue. Especially as neither the individual front hub assemblies or the water pump is inexpensive. …”

NHTSA complaint #11033320, filed 2017-10, 142,750 miles

“I bought this car brand new. It is a Pontiac g 6 gt convertible with an optional gtp high output engine and drivetrain. This is a top of the line vehicle with all options. Since new, the vehicle does not steer well. It lurches unexpectedly from side to side when going around turns or just straight ahead. It has been very well taken care of and only has 28,000 miles on it as of today. It is still in the 36,000 mile GM warranty period. There has been a snapping/popping noise in the steering wheel/column since new when you turn the steering wheel from side to side, sitting still or driving. …”

NHTSA complaint #10914168, filed 2016-10, 28,000 miles

“When I turn my steering wheel several things happen, a click sound going clockwise, and I hear squeaky or whining sound when I turn either way. I hear a grinding sound coming from the front tires. My signal doesn't shut off after I complete a turn.”
