“I have been trying to schedule an appointment to fix the trailer lighting recall for over six months. The dealership tells me the parts are on back order even though I know people are getting this fixed at other dealerships.”

NHTSA complaint #11772607, filed 2026-10

“On August 20 i received an update for the Uconnect blue screen in reverse recall. In doing this update it created a new problem with the u connect screen creating a blinding/distracting light in night time driving. They removed a setting theme mode which would keep the screen in dark mode. Without this setting the screen is in white mode. No other setting within the u connect settings will reduce the level of brightness. This could cause an accident do to eyes adjusting from the bright white screen. I have pictures to demonstrate issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11759063, filed 2026-08

“There is a recall on the towing control module that prevents me from towing with the vehicle, which is the reason I purchased the vehicle. They are unable to get the parts required to complete the repair. The recall started in february, it is now april with no parts ordered , avaliable, or repair scheduled. If I dont tow my boat it a few weeks, I will start incurring fees for storage. I called dealer, spoke with repair, they stated they dont have the parts, recognized the recall, but do not have time frame. Called Stellantis, they acknowledged the recall, and have no estimate for parts. …”

“Trailer lights operate intermittently (basis of Manufacturer Recall Number 03D NHTSA Recall Number26V-059). Manufacturer states that the repair parts are available, but they are not allowing dealerships to make the repair for some undisclosed reason. The Manufacturer is misrepresenting that a repair is available when it is not and is not able to provide any more information on when this will be remedied.”

NHTSA complaint #11723538, filed 2026-03

“The contact owns a 2026 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V059000 (Exterior Lighting, Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that a 24-foot trailer was identified as a 48-foot trailer, which caused the trailer brakes to fail to properly stop the trailer, and the manual brake was used to stop the vehicle. …”
