“While driving the truck at night the lights flicker almost like as if you were flashing your lights at someone in front of you, this truck has been to dealership a total of 16 times for this reason. First they told me it was the way dodge built my truck and that it was normal, then next time we took it in they told me that it was my toll tag, I questioned ok which is it dodge made my truck this way or my toll tag, we got no response. …”

“My vehicle has no daytime running lights for visual safety. The sales code has been eliminated by the FCA. I want my vehicle to have the light safety like all the other dodge, chrysler, jeep vehicles. Why are the Ram 1500's left out of this safety feature?”

NHTSA complaint #10917382, filed 2016-10, 45 miles

“After I bought my 2016 Ram 1500 in february 2019 I noticed my horn and the evic on the instrument cluster stopped working causing me not to be able to read my TPMS or oil life or any other evic functions. Also with the horn not working I feel it's a huge safety issue there is a recall for this same issue on previous year models. I have noticed that the lights on the evic and cruise control switches don't illuminate either. By googling the issue it seems there are numerous other Ram 1500 owners with the same issue. I feel these are all major safety issues and should be investigated.”

NHTSA complaint #11206381, filed 2019-05, 44,000 miles

“When I was driving on a 400 mile trip my head lights were surging or fickering.dosen't do it when sitting in park.started doing this at 200 miles on 2016 Ram 1500.took it to dealer they had it happen to them a few times.they have no idea whats causing it.they contacted chrysler, they told dealer to tell me to drive it wont hurt anything.I'm affraid that one of these times my lights are going to go out when I dont want them to.I think its a bunch of crap.so I pay 40g's for new truck with a problem that im told cant be fixed.this problem is ongoing and I have 10000 miles now.what do I do?”

NHTSA complaint #10993099, filed 2017-06, 200 miles

“Our company leased this vehicle from mid county chrysler dodge jeep Ram on 12/16/2015 as part of an eight vehicle fleet. On 8/18/2016, the vehicle operator reported that the engine would not start and the vehicle was brought to the mid county dealership for repairs. Mechanics tested the vehicle and found that the battery was dead and replaced it. The vehicle was released to us on 8/26/2016. While this is the only incident on record for this vehicle, it is important to note that our fleet consists entirely of Ram 1500, with seven being the 2016 model and one 2015 model. …”
