“This vehicle was bought less than a month ago. The first week 3 tires sensors are out and not working, then yesterday, oct. 20, 2020 the engine light came on and won't go out. We called the dealer and were told that it wasn't any problem to keep driving the truck. They told us the soonest they could see it was this friday, oct. 23, 2020 and they do not have any loaners. So here I am stuck at home afraid to drive the Ram truck costing more than $70,000 because I might ruin the engine. This is uncalled for in a brand new vehicle!!”

NHTSA complaint #11365611, filed 2020-10, 980 miles

“As I was operating my vehicle on I95 northbound smoke began to pour out of my vents. I was able to pull over and was able to determine there was a fire behind the radio in my truck. I immediately grabbed the personal affects that I could grab and called 911. However within 5 minutes the cab of the truck.was engulfed im flames.”

NHTSA complaint #11687105, filed 2025-09

“Transmission dipstick threw out of the truck while moving and causes transmission fluid to spray out and now the truck will not move. It’s throwing 2 codes for the 3rd and 5th gears malfunctioning. There is a recall on the transmission we were not notified about until we called the dealership to explain what happened.”

NHTSA complaint #11562426, filed 2023-12

“The trailer electrical plug located on the sidewall in the bed of the truck was not connected at the factory. I could have experienced a complete trailer braking system failing when towing my 5th wheel. Yes, vehicle was inspected by Harper Dodge in Alcoa TN, The trailer electrical plug was connected to the electrical system.”

NHTSA complaint #11442896, filed 2021-12

“2500 Truck randomly activates emergency braking for no reason. Occurs a couple times a month. Every occurrence has zero obstructions in front. I took it to the Tate Ram dealer (frederick MD) and they refused to update their software unless I pay them +$285.00. The Ram dealer is even aware of the software issue. I told them this is a life safety issue and not my fault. I requested the fix immediately but refused. I also have an active full MOPAR warranty, and they still said it's not covered. This is insane”
