“The reason for this report is to let you know that my anti lock brake system has been malfunctioning for at least 10k miles. This is the same symptoms that you can read about on the internet. Flashing warning lights on the dash board and loss of cruise control. The warning alarm for the most part now is alerting continuously. When it first started the Chrysler dealer said that it was no longer in warranty. The truck is still like new and has 55k miles. I would like to see Chrysler do what is RIGHT and correct this widespread safety issue!! …”
NHTSA complaint #11511360, filed 2023-03“The contact owns a 2017 Ram 3500. The contact stated that while in reverse(R), the rear-view camera image was blue. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the rear-view camera or the wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted and informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V398000 (Back Over Prevention). The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.”
