“I was hauling a 15,000 lb fifth wheel with the cruise control set at about 45mph coming up to the light on hwy. 35 and hwy. 20 intersection northbound in indiana. I tapped my foot on the break to shut my cruise control off like I normally do and put my foot on the throttle to control the acceleration to the light. I realize I wasn't slowing down properly and put my foot on the brake and stood both feet on the break to try to stop to avoid hitting the car in front of me. I ended up hitting the car in front of me even with the truck and trailer brakes applied. …”

“Occasionally when you step on the clutch to stop the vehicle or change gears, the clutch pedal just goes straight to floor and does not disengage the clutch. Sometimes you have to shut the engine off to stop the vehicle, and sometimes when stopped at a stop sign or red light, the vehicle will not go back into a gear. Also while driving, sometimes you cannot change gears. After the first sign of trouble I checked all of the fluid levels and found that the hydraulic reservoir for the clutch control assembly was low on fluid. …”

“Break controller/traction control/cruise control all are not working an being a RV owner WE tow a 2014 Redwood 42 foot 5th wheel, 16000 max weight (our scaled is 14640 pounds). We do not feel that it is safe to tow our RV with the recall that affects towing. This is the 3rd recall/repair on this truck. NHTSA complaint #11647242, filed 2025-03

“ABS control module has been back order since June 2023. Abs light flashes and bing on regular bases. Cruise will not work when the ABS light is on. I’ve been on a wait list since June 2023, truck is very annoying trying to drive with constant binging. Towing my 5th wheel is very concerning with on going ABS module problems.”

NHTSA complaint #11558868, filed 2023-12

“ABS module and HCU failure. Constant service ABS, traction control, and service brake system warning lights. I lost control of truck on snow covered road when warnings came on causing me to go into the ditch. Knowing that FCA refuses to address the safety concerns, I have not brought the truck to the dealership.”
