2014: “Driving on I-10 in the metarie, la area at speed limit, we heard a loud bang, then wind coming into the car. No other vehicles around us, we pulled to the side of the road and noticed that the sunroof had exploded. Sounded like a bomb went off when it happened. We returned to our hotel and taped the glass to prevent further glass fracture and spray to other vehicles on the road.”

All electronic devices, it mostly happens when I drive, also the dashboard makes a noise which sounds like a click. About an year ago I got a recall for but when I brought my car to the Toyota of noho they told me that they didn't find any problem, so nothing has been replaced and I still have both problems which hard to find out by driving couples of miles, how a technician explained to me. …”
NHTSA complaint #11062563, filed 2018-01, 28,000 miles2013: “I was parking head-in to parking spot. As I reached the final spot, and was shifting gear to p (parking), the car took off like a rocket and jumped the curb. This caused damage to the car parked in the next parking spot and my car. The other car had to be towed. I was able to still drive my car. This happened at an office building outdoor parking lot. People standing outside the building (for smoking or otherwise) witnessed it all. They also indicated that the car went like a rocket and they have never seen anything like this.”
