“I was hit from behind by a speeder in which caused significant damages to my vehicle. No airbags deployed. I was advised when purchasing this car that Toyota connects detects crashes and that the emergency system would call the car. Unfortunately, not only did the airbags not deploy but the emergency system didn't not call the vehicle as I was advised. My vehicle has defects and the manufacturer is responsible. I purchased this vehicle brand new thinking it could keep me safe driving. The manufacturer has highly disappointed me and failed to adhere to vehicle safety.”

NHTSA complaint #11366231, filed 2020-10, 3,700 miles

“I was driving on the road and I heard something like an explosion, I turned the emergency lights on and stopped to find out what had happened. I saw the sunroof completely broken, fortunately I didn’t get hurt but I got so scared and I don’t know if I will feel comfortable driving my car again.”

NHTSA complaint #11524407, filed 2023-05

“I am unable to lock or unlock the driver’s side door of my 2020 Toyota Corolla using the key fob because the door lock actuator is no longer functioning properly. I must manually use the physical key to lock and unlock the driver’s door. I consider this a significant safety concern because the power locking system is no longer functioning as intended, potentially affecting my ability to quickly secure or access the vehicle, particularly in an emergency. …”

“While driving my car it turned off and it was hard for me to turn and all my lights was hard to steer and all the lights on the dash board turned on and they was not turning off and I got in. A wreck by me not being able to turn and hit a bush and my car got total”

NHTSA complaint #11444560, filed 2021-12

“Since March of 2022 I have noticed a sloshing sound from the driver's side door and both rear doors. The sound continues, especially when I break and when I open the doors. The vehicle has not been in any accident at all. I made an appointment specifically to get that looked at on April 11th, however, the Toyota dealership in Woodbridge, VA completely ignored my request and instead did an oil change, which was not needed, as one had already been done the month before. When I complained they said it would cost $150 to get a diagnosis test done first. …”
