“When I was driving on the way to work. Other car from the side hit to my car. I wore the seatbelt but the airbags didn't work. One day, after the accident my body felt hurt especially the shoulder and the back. I went to see a chiropractor to check then they said I needed to do treatment at least a few months.”

NHTSA complaint #11309708, filed 2020-02, 14,000 miles

“I was hit from behind by a speeder in which caused significant damages to my vehicle. No airbags deployed. I was advised when purchasing this car that Toyota connects detects crashes and that the emergency system would call the car. Unfortunately, not only did the airbags not deploy but the emergency system didn't not call the vehicle as I was advised. My vehicle has defects and the manufacturer is responsible. I purchased this vehicle brand new thinking it could keep me safe driving. The manufacturer has highly disappointed me and failed to adhere to vehicle safety.”

NHTSA complaint #11228530, filed 2019-06, 400 miles

“My airbag sensory notifications keeps coming on. When I start my car normally it isn’t on but once I start driving the notification will come on along with the ding noise it makes when you don’t have on a seat belt. I notice there was a recall on this issue for the later model Corolla and wanted to see if possibly this could be considered for the 2020 Corolla’s.”

NHTSA complaint #11674399, filed 2025-07

“I have a recall on my vehicle which there's no remedy for it yet. My California registration was due and I wasn't able to complete my renewal until I had my recall certificate saying it was fixed. Now I'm unable to drive my vehicle in feared to be ticketed or being towed. Toyota needs to do better why am I paying for a car I can't drive. Please help!!!!!”
