“On 6/7 while driving 65 mph I hit a deer on the driver front. My car detected the crash and deployed every airbag inside the car. I received an injury to my legs from the driver's airbag under my steering wheel. If this airbag were not there, I would have had no injuries from this accident. I have missed work and was seen at the local ED for treatment.”

NHTSA complaint #11743133, filed 2026-06

“There was a recall on my vehicle for the skid and emergency braking and was told it was taken care of Feb 2025 at my service appointment. I was involved in a car accident on Aug 11, 2025, everything that was supposed to be fixed in the recall did not operate during my crash. I reconfirmed with the dealership that they did the recall repair and they again said yes but if they did then the repair completely failed. …”

“I was involved in a vehicle accident Mar. 31, 2026. And only the side curtain air bags deployed. Neither driverside steering wheel airbag (which caused me to fracture my sternum) nor the passanger side airbag deployed.”

NHTSA complaint #11750355, filed 2026-07

“Component/system failed: The SRS Airbag System malfunctioned. After a rear-end collision on October 3, 2025, in Gwinnett County, GA, the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle displayed an alert: “SRS Airbag System – Malfunction detected” at 16:02. Safety risk: My safety was put at risk because the airbags did not function during a significant impact. This failure could have resulted in severe injury if the collision had been more forceful or from another angle. Inspection/reproduction: On October 6, 2025, I brought the vehicle to Atlanta Toyota. …”

NHTSA complaint #11691795, filed 2025-10

“The driver’s side A pillar that houses the airbag is not flush with the headliner. There is a gap in the upper section of the A pillar. This gap causes a distraction while driving because the gap is directly in front of the driver’s view. I took the vehicle to the Toyota of Corona dealer in Corona, CA to have the A pillar gap fixed so it is flush and not a distraction while driving. I was provided a video made by the technician of his inspection. In the video the technician acknowledged the gap in the A pillar, but showed that the same gap exists in their brand new Toyota vehicles. …”
