“I purchased a used 2024 Toyota Corolla from Chapman Chrysler Jeep on 8/9/25 at 31,890 miles. When exiting the freeway 3 miles later, the vehicle suddenly swerved uncontrollably without any steering input from me. This was an extremely dangerous incident that could have caused a serious accident injuring myself and others.”

NHTSA complaint #11702498, filed 2025-12

“Car has broke down a total of 4 times since I have gotten it from Toyota back in December of 2023. I have a dash-cam now that has footage of the car breaking down. Toyota fails to acknowledge my concerns and comes up with excuses and tells me to wait until it happens more frequently. I would love to have this car inspected, but as Toyota has stated they cannot get the issue to repeat. My safety for others and myself feel uneasy with the whole ordeal as it happens at the most random times. …”

NHTSA complaint #11672164, filed 2025-07

“On 11/29/23 after 11:30pm, I was in the process of clearing an exit and at the tail end of the exit it felt like the car was correcting itself and I was unable to stay turning right. The steering wheel felt locked and I was unable to control the car. The car impacted the guardrail and I was able to regain control after the initial impact. -This is a BRAND NEW car with less than 100 miles at the time of the accident. - Prior to the collision, there were no warning signals from the dashboard. …”

NHTSA complaint #11563072, filed 2024-01

“My vehicle stalled when pulling out into traffic. I lost power steering and electrical and the engine died. The vehicle had to be restarted to continue driving. I was going about 1 to 2 mph when the issue happened. The vehicle was in motion and stalled while other vehicles were in motion putting my safety at risk, had I been going any faster or if there was an increased amount of traffic. I reported the problem to the dealer service center, but they were unable to reproduce it. The vehicle was inspected by Toyota only, no police or insurance. …”
