“As I was pulling into a parking lot I began to step on the brakes and the car would not stop. I had no choice but to crash into a wall causing a major injuries to my body and car. The car would no longer start and I had to tow the car to my home until a mechanic came to start the car and we had noticed that when the car is in park it will keep going.”

NHTSA complaint #11209389, filed 2019-05, 120,000 miles

“Toyota airbag recall: I called Toyota to schedule an appointment to have my airbags fixed back in november. I was set up with the Toyota dealership to have my airbags replaced. They told me they had to order parts for that service and would call me once those parts came in. I never received a call about this again and they have not followed up with me on my inquiries.”

NHTSA complaint #10936811, filed 2016-12, 200,450 miles

“I don't understand regarding the airbag recalls. I just heard that Toyota has recalled more cars and yet I am being told it still is a regional recall. I have a 2005 Corolla and I see it on lists of recalled cars and yet because I don't live in the region my car is not included. If there is a danger, why doesn't NHTSA just order the auto manufacturers to recall everything? What's going on?”

NHTSA complaint #10716202, filed 2015-05, 164,000 miles

“Takata recall, dealer non response. Dealer, acton Toyota does not respond with information regarding danger to my wife in case of accident. Toyota recommends- do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the passenger seat. Totally unacceptable. Should I rent a vehicle until my automobile is repaired?”

NHTSA complaint #10807319, filed 2015-11, 6,700 miles

“We had an automobile accident on august 30, 2012 in bayamon, puerto rico between 11:15 to 11:30 pm. We received a first impact on the left back door of the car and another in the front (bumper) of the car, because the car impact made it go round and impact a fence. Unfortunately, the airbags never opened, so we received injuries. Updated ivoq 11/21/12”
