“I'm having an issue with the airbag system. There are multiple error codes and the dealership can't figure it out. They think it's the airbag module. Toyota has had multiple issues with the airbag system not just the takata. But this issue it disables all the airbags and beeps to buckle your seatbelt. There seems to be a common issue so I'd like you to look into it.”

NHTSA complaint #11142673, filed 2018-10, 124,356 miles

“My airbag was recalled I got it fixed and now the airbag light is on. I took it back it back to the dealer and they said it has nothing to do with the work they did. I have had this car for 3 years with no lights on and now, after I get the recall fixed, a light comes on and its not related?”

NHTSA complaint #11349169, filed 2020-08, 164,000 miles

“Takata recall. Was told by our local Toyota dealer that there was an airbag recall for our car. It's been almost a year since this recall notice and we have yet to receive a loaner car or money for a rental car. We have contacted the dealer multiple times about fixing the airbag in our car. Each time the dealer says the manufacturer is unable to resolve the problem.”

NHTSA complaint #11048732, filed 2017-11, 34,000 miles

“Takata recall I was never notified of the recall. I was in an accident and the air bag hit my left arm when it deployed. I found out about the recall after my insurance company completed an evualation on my Toyota carolla. With it not being fixed it may have decreased the value of my car.”

NHTSA complaint #11208857, filed 2019-05, 124,000 miles

“Tamara recall. I received a notice to not have anyone in the passenger seat until the recall is completed. I explained that the car is useless since I cannot fit me my wife and two kids in car seats into the car without using the front seat. This is ridiculous to not have a repair for a car and be told not to use a car I paid a lot of money for with no remedy from the manufacturer.”
