“I was involved in a rollover crash and not a single airbag deployed. I honestly think it's a defect from all the issues that Toyota has had with airbags. I was ran off the road going around a curve and I hit a ditch and my car flipped end over end. The front of my car was severely damaged, I was going about 50mph, every air bag should have deployed.”

NHTSA complaint #11171233, filed 2019-01, 157,000 miles

“Takata recall. I was in a car accident the norning of 09/12/2017. My car experienced significant damge to the front end, so much so that it needs to be totalled. My airbags did not deploy. The airbags should have depliyed due to the extent of the damage. At the time of impact I was turning left and my vehicle was in motion on a city street.”

NHTSA complaint #11023339, filed 2017-09, 149,000 miles

“My husband and I was in an accident and the airbag light was on but never deployed, I heard about the recall for the takata airbags from a friend. I was never notified by Toyota about the recall. When I put in the VIN # of our car both airbags are on the list. I don't know if it would of went off that I wouldn't got hurt but it didn't and I was injured anyway.”

NHTSA complaint #10945391, filed 2017-01, 183,000 miles

“Takata recall: no accident as yet, but fearful to have passengers in my car until the airbags are fixed. I am a senior caregiver, car paid for, low mileage. I need the car to transport my husband to appts and clinics and now worry about safety. My VIN # is on the matched list and I live in a hot, humid climate.”

NHTSA complaint #11015150, filed 2017-08, 27,570 miles

“Takata recall: I have been advised not to use this vehicle by the vehicle manufacturer. I have also been advised that the air bag manufacturer may soon not be able to pay. His has gone on too long; I cannot sell the vehicle. The airbags need to be replaced or I should be compensated for the cost of the vehicle.”
