“Abs and brake lights came on. The mechanic tells me that both rear ABS sensors are bad (codes c0210 and c0215). This is a Toyota Corolla 2009 le with only 81k miles and I hear the same problem exists in some friend's cars. We have lots of snow in cleveland area and it is ridiculous not to have ABS working because of this problem. Looking at discussion groups, this sounds like a recall to me.”

NHTSA complaint #10680171, filed 2015-01, 81,000 miles

“My wife has experianced brake fade, brake failure and inconsistant braking with her 2009 Corolla. I have noted that this seems to be related to temperature, humidity and warmup of the operating system. The situation was briefly improved after the previous recall for the brake boostedr problem but returned in 60 days. Toyota seems to not care about this issue”

NHTSA complaint #10307369, filed 2010-02, 9,000 miles

“The brake is not working properly when your stop in a red light or waiting in drive thru restaurant you have to push really hard the brake that way the car not move if you don't do that the car start move forward very slow you don't feel when start moving I hit other car was in front of me in the drive thru at mcdonalds restaurant.”

NHTSA complaint #10308580, filed 2010-02, 17,000 miles

“My wife rear ended a taxi, she complained that the brakes did not stop the car. We had the car towed to the house, I freed the hood and removed the bumper cover to inspect the damage. When I got in and tried the brakes, the pedal went to the floor. When I opened the brake fluid reservoir to check the fluid, the brakes returned to normal. That indicates a vacuum to me, which is not normal.I would like to request analysis of the event data recorder.”

NHTSA complaint #10622657, filed 2014-08, 92,000 miles

“Month: february and march 2010 weather: dry roads speed: less than 35mph on two occurrences, I tried to brake to stop my car. The brakes made a very loud grinding noise, and the car did not slow down. I released the brake and then pressed it all the way to the floor, at which point the car stopped. I called the dealership and they seemed very unconcerned about it. I am scared to drive my car.”
