2021: “I am experiencing inconsistent brake feel after ABS actuation during slow and steady application of the brakes on rough or slick road surfaces. Stopping distances are increased compared with my expectation for a given pedal force. Please note that the 2010 Toyota prius had a similar issue, and a recall was issued under NHTSA campaign 10v039000.”

NHTSA complaint #11395499, filed 2021-02, 9,300 miles

2023: “Turning left into my driveway, I felt the accelerator click without me applying any pressure and the car abruptly sped up. I was moving toward my gate as it was nearly open. I removed my foot from the accelerator and slammed on the brakes, stopping just in time, barely touching the end of the gate. The gate was near the end of its opening.”

NHTSA complaint #11769914, filed 2026-10

2022: “The 12v battery keeps dying. The dealer has checked it multiple times and finally replaced it with a new one which has now died twice. The weather has not been freezing, car is garage, i don't leave anything on that would drain battery and I drive it several times a week. I have over 23,000 miles. It dies at worst time when I really need to go somewhere.”
