2019: “On february 23rd, 2021, while driving approximately 60 miles per hour on I-40, the moon roof on my 2019 Toyota Sequoia inexplicably exploded. It was well before rush hour and there was no traffic to send debris towards me. Nothing hit me. The glass exploded outward. There was no other damage to the roof of my vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #11398306, filed 2021-02, 22,300 miles2002: “Vsc, ABS, traction control and brake warning instrument lights on. Abs and traction control and vsc are inoperable due to a computer malfunction. This is an extremely common issue with first generation sequoias. My specific codes are c1241 and c1203. Toyota told me I will need a new computer to controls those systems at a 921 dollar expense. These issues have been ongoing since 2009.”
NHTSA complaint #11389936, filed 2021-01, 123,731 miles2007: “The master pressure sensor is failing and from what I am reading this has been a common complaint in the early 2000's toyotas but no one has done nothing about it besides charge an awful amount to fix. My vehicle when in 4wd brakes will lock up and I still slide no matter what gear or how slow I am going. I have almost slid into countless cars.”
