1996: “I am a owner of a 1996 Toyota T100 with serious rust issues on my truck. I have been looking online and found that other owners have the same problems. There was a recall on other truck such as the tacoma. Why hasn't a recall been issued for the T100.”

1995: “While driving in my neighborhood, the airbag on the steering wheel exploded. I was hit my chest and arm. The noise was so loud that ,I have not been able to get rid of ear ringing. My wife was also in the vehicle and the smoke from explosion caused her throat to become raw.”

NHTSA complaint #10861263, filed 2016-04, 70,000 miles

1997: “While making a left turn the steering wheel won't return to center upon completion of the turn. I understand there was a major safety vehicle recall for this truck however two dealers in merced and modesto, california have told me there is no safety recall. The 1995 to 1998 recall was for total loss of steering due to a broken steering rod. I bought this truck in california one year ago and we know for certain that it was originally sold in texas.”
