“It loses power, my 2009 Toyota Tundra with less than 90,000 miles , just decelerates and went down to 30 miles per hour in the freeway, I used a carmd reading to give me a code, and it shows that the code was p2442, it will cost me $2,500 or more to fix it. The engine red light, vsc and 4lo will show in the dash.”
NHTSA complaint #11330897, filed 2020-06, 89,735 miles“I was the operator of the vehicle on my driveway when the engine suddenly accelerated. The accelerator was wide open while I was hard on the brakes. I was able to put the gear shift into park, and once I did the engine stopped its acceleration. I was on hard concrete, thus the rear wheels spun freely without catching traction. The vehicle left roughly 30 of front and rear wheel marks. The vehicle has run normally since the incident.”
