“2014 Toyota Tundra with 180,000 miles. The gear shifter will not come out of park at times when brake is pressed. I have gotten in the truck many times to leave my house and when I press the brake to take it out of park it will not unlock the shifter. I have to press and release the brake a few times before the shifter is unlocked.”

NHTSA complaint #11402549, filed 2021-03, 175,000 miles

“Three studs or lugs broke off my right front wheel while driving, causing it to completely break off and damage the right front part of my truck. Thankfully I wasn't driving very fast or it would of been much worse. I've taken it to the shop and had it repaired. The mechanics say this should not have happened. I'm afraid my other wheels my do this as well. My truck is a 2014 Toyota Tundra plat 4x4”

NHTSA complaint #11278126, filed 2019-11, 116,000 miles

“The brake pedal will 'go to the floor' under firm foot pressure at extended stop lights or when in slow stop and go traffic. After about a minute of being stopped the pedal will 'give' and slowly sink to the floor.”

NHTSA complaint #10822576, filed 2016-01, 32,000 miles

“The parking brake when fully applied, began failing to hold the vehicle in place a week after purchase. The parking brake has been adjusted twice by the dealer. The parking brake petal while fully pressed to the floor, does not appear strong enough to hold the vehicle in place, especially when parked on a hill. The dealer tried to adjust the parking brake tighter during a warranty repair on 7/25/2015 . As a result, the brakes locked up while driving away from the dealership. The parking brake was readjusted again by the dealership that day to it's normal position. …”

NHTSA complaint #10744827, filed 2015-07, 500 miles

“First the break keeps broken. I was told the master cylinder for the break needs to be replaced. This is after I spend thousands to work on breaks at dealer. Second, the window does not close. I thought it might be caused by a broken breaker BUT, none of the breaker is bad. Thirdly, the most frustrated thing is the transmission fails to work. The truck is dead on the street. I sent the truck to dealer to replace the transmission to a new one. After it is done. …”
