2007: “Takata recall I have been waiting to hear when I can bring in my car to be fixed. I got the notice in march, & check this site, plus the Toyota recall site for updates. I find it concerning that there has not been any notice still to get my car fixed for this problem. It has been seven months, and that is far too long for an issue with airbags to be unfixed. As far as I have seen, my vehicle's fix is not ready at this time.”
NHTSA complaint #10924429, filed 2016-11, 35,000 miles2008: “My airbag light came on, and hasn't turned off for longer than a minute in the past couple of months. Brought it to repair shop, was told airbag won't work with light on. I was told it was most likely the clock spring. Noticed on multiple forums people have the same complaint. Not sure if I want to replace it with a genuine Toyota part if this is going to happen again in a few years.”
NHTSA complaint #10551241, filed 2013-11, 100,000 miles2009: “I have had this happen twice now where I try to pass someone on interstate 79 northbound from pittsburgh to cranberry township pa and press the gas pedal and once I get to speed the pedal goes to the floor and the car goes to 80 + per hour before I can get it to slow down or stop. Luckily both times there were no cars in front or behind me that I could get control of the car. The first time I ended up putting the car in neutral to get car to stop. …”
