“In approximately may 2015 I replaced the hub on the right rear wheel. After the item was replaced and ABS sensor reattached I have had the issue of ABS and emergency brake light on continually on the dash upon startup, they never go off!!! Needless to say I have lost ABS since that time. I have had the diagnostics checked and there were three ABS relay sensor warning faults, front right, and both back wheels. Since then I have replaced all the wiring harnesses for the three wheels. The diagnostic shows no ABS relay faults. …”

“I was sitting at a red light when my 2007 Toyota Yaris was rammed from behind in a rear end collision. I sustained several injuries. My air bag didn't deploy, but the air bag light came on. In addition, the seatbelts didn't work either. I suffered a comminuted fracture to my left distal clavicle, fractured l1 transverse process, and I'm having surgery to fix the problems that were caused from my face hitting the steering wheel. This happened on oct 20, 2015 and I just found out this is a common problem with 2007 Toyota Yaris'. I can provide addition information is needed.”

NHTSA complaint #10816223, filed 2015-12, 128,500 miles

“Our local Toyota service dealer does not perform safety recall repairs on the weekend, or on weekdays after 4pm. So car will remain in same condition until a dealer is found that can repair safety recall on weekend...if possible. The rodland Toyota service representative was actually very rude to me on the phone. Not sure what to do from here. Thanks in advance for any understanding.”

NHTSA complaint #10260340, filed 2009-03

“Exhaust is extremely loud on Yaris during acceleration and causes the interior cabin to smell. I had a friend look at the exhaust for a leak and all he could find is a shredded gasket. The exhaust was in excellent shape and showed no damage or corrosion. Internet searches have revealed that the gasket on the 07 Yaris is poorly designed and several people are affected by this.”

NHTSA complaint #10721883, filed 2015-05

“This should be a safety recall. Underneath the 2007 Yaris there is bolts holding the control arm to the suspension. Simply put the bolt has rusted out after only three years. This is not normal. It appears that when water splashes up under the car and gets caught there is no way for the water to drain. It just sits on the bolt. If/when this rusts out the control arm could separate from he suspension and cause the automobile to lose control. It is an obvious design flaw. …”
