“1.) My navigation freezes atleast 3x in a 1 hour drive. I have to reset it every time it freezes. 2.) Rearview camera sometimes blacks out. 3.) Rear wiper blade makes a really loud noise when on. 4.) Driver side wheel makes a grinding noise when I turn right. 5.) Passenger window switch is loose. When trying to switch window up the entire connector comes out.”

NHTSA complaint #11513499, filed 2023-03

“The rearview camera on our new Volkswagon TAOS does not work. We leased the TAOS on 12/27/21 and the rearview camera malfunctioned for a short time and then completely stopped working soon after. We took it to dealership twice and called Volkswagon several times but were told they do not have the part to fix it. We have two toddlers at home and neighbor children regularly play at our home. We are very concerned about safety of the vehicle, but it is our only vehicle. …”

NHTSA complaint #11458229, filed 2022-03

“The aft panoramic sunroof shattered while the car was parked. Thankfully, the spider webbing kept the glass from falling in the back seat, and the car was not driving then. I called and scheduled a dealer appointment that day and dropped the car off last week. There were no indication prior.”

NHTSA complaint #11637983, filed 2025-01

“MIB infotainment system blanks out, simultaneously sending error code to driver center console rendering it useless. Key functions are therefore inoperable or inaccessible, including (but not limited to) TPMS monitoring / alert warning, rear view camera display, and potentially a host of other safety and advanced driver assist functions.”
