2017: “Transmission will jerk heavily when driving and has a continuous shifting sound like it stays neutral. Will judder when the vehicle stops and on acceleration. The car needs to be turned off and back on to reset. I can't use all drive settings as it happens more frequently in the sport modes. The issue first started happening at 15k miles. I have reported it to rhe dealership six times, the last time was a week ago. The dealership has kept the car overnight, replaced the shift mechanisms, updated system settings, and the gas pumps. On 20 february 2020, a 30-lb metal disk flew off a drywall flatbed truck in the lane left of me as we traveled together at 45 MPH on a colorado springs main street. The disk directly hit the left side of the 2019 Acura mdx sh windshield and small sharp glass shards flew through the cabin. If it were not for the windshield plastic film, the disk would have broken through the glass and probably hit me in the head killing me (the disk had a lot of velocity when it hit with a very loud thud ? No time to swerve). …”
NHTSA complaint #11330581, filed 2020-06, 11,000 miles2020: “Middle row passenger seatbelt malfunctioning. Waiting on part on back order. Available for inspection until it gets replaced. Numerous occasions noticed the belt would lock when getting children out of car and didn’t think anything of it. Had to move middle row seat to get it to retract out of the lock position. Today my child got tangled in the seatbelt and he was trying to get out of car and it retracted and locked and kept getting tighter around his chest. I tried slacking the belt back to loosen it and it wouldn’t retract out and only got tighter. …”
