“I was driving and the vehicle just cut off on me every thing locked up even the brakes I couldn't stop so I chunked the gear in park to avoid from smashing into anyone I was so afraid but it crank right up after but I noticed the temperature gauge and the gas gauge was no longer working..”
NHTSA complaint #11339244, filed 2020-07, 190,000 miles“Srx 2004 has already had transmission rebuilt and I am trying to get throttle body also replaced after throttle did not respond and coasted backwards almost catching 3 teens running between my car and one behind me. Transmission was taken care of but hesitation on throttle has been continuous for over a year with no one telling me what was wrong. Just this week I was told throttle body needs replaced.”
NHTSA complaint #10420785, filed 2011-08, 50,000 miles“My 2004 Cadillac SRX has 98000 miles on it. The service stability system light comes on after driving for 20 minutes, each time I start the car. I clear the system and just drive. The car shakes while driving a bit and does pull to the right. I am not experiencing some of the problems many others are facing with this same warning, but feel I too will soon, it is getting worse. I also was forced to put in 89 octane gas at a station that didnt have super, I had a low fuel light. After 20 minutes of driving stability light came on along with check engine. …”
NHTSA complaint #10365691, filed 2010-11, 97,800 miles“Loss of acceleration power while driving have to pull over kill and crank again. Cars seems to be slowing down then having to stop and recrank. Does this while driving on hwy. This has happened several times before this date.”
NHTSA complaint #11171397, filed 2019-01, 118,000 miles“The consumer has run out of gas on two occasions. The vehicle is not equipped with a light that illuminates when the fuel level is low. The vehicle's computer did beep once alerting the consumer of low fuel but it did not beep again. The gas tank hold 20 gallons of fuel. The trip computer calculates the amount of miles left based on the volume in the tank. When the trip computer indicated there was 5 gallon there was only 3.25 gallons.”
