Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Frame failure. Rear sub frame was not welded on properly resulting in the car losing all directional control and going off the road. Could have been bad if speed was not so low. Cadillac has not been able to fix car due to not having part for last 7 months. It is a recall on the 05 but not the 04. Gm refuses to do anything other than tell me they will let me know when they have news. They have even requested to store the vehicle at my residence rather than the dealership as it has been there so long. I am so tired of this 7 month headache. …”

NHTSA complaint #10377025, filed 2011-01, 99,000 miles

“So many rusted frame complaints should have warranted a recall. In my case a frame should not have rusted badly in less than a year . Many even show on you -tube trying to fix rusted frames because no one is listening. Underbody coating actually should have been added . Thin sheet metal sections are the worst parts .”

NHTSA complaint #11252683, filed 2019-09, 100,003 miles

“Went through the car wash. During final stage (wind to blow off moisture) windshield header flew off car. After inspection it was revealed that the only method of attachment to the vehicle was double sided tape. This is unacceptable especially given the location of the piece where there is a lot of wind (front of roof).”

NHTSA complaint #10334464, filed 2010-06, 88,453 miles

“Dt: approached red light with someone in front who with zero speed. Due to the plastic grill substained damage to windshield wiper fluid container. No repairs have been yet.”

NHTSA complaint #10122146, filed 2005-05, 11,000 miles

“Since oct. 2014 I have had issues with the stability system to be serviced yet it works??? The hood hasn't ever stayed up which had been a pain being starting a couple months ago the battery starting having issues in the cold weather. Something is draining it and I don't know from where.”
