“We purchased a 2015 SRX Cadillac monday dec 14 2020. We had not driven it after dark until we purchased. The headlights are so dim we could barely see the road in a well lit highway. We were concerned we would not make it home. These lights are a hazard and it's very dangerous to drive after dark. Something needs to be done before someone gets killed.”
NHTSA complaint #11383988, filed 2020-12, 50,000 miles“I just purchased this car on 1/25/2020. It was daylight when I paid for it and drove it 2 hours to home with low beam lights that made driving very hazardous. I would have returned it if they had still been opened and I hadn't paid cash. Please recall this before someone dies on virginia county roads and a wrongful death suite is filed.”
NHTSA complaint #11301945, filed 2020-01, 172 miles“The low beam headlights have low output and the car is not safe to drive at night. The problem is amplified in wet conditions. On roads with no street lights it is hard to see painted lines. On coming drivers have flashed their headlights at me indicating they do not think I have my lights on properly. This is an ongoing issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11377228, filed 2020-11, 65,000 miles“I was driving down a city street at night at approximately 10 MPH and my friend informed me that my head lights did not look like they were on at all. Since this incident, I asked another friend to drive ahead of me on a dark city street and tell me if my lights were on. His response was, yes they are, but very dim. I am very worried about you driving at night !!”
NHTSA complaint #11278586, filed 2019-11, 24,800 miles“My right headlight is so dim I have to use my brights when driving at night. Cadillac replaced the left headlight about a year ago because it was so dim. I have tried to get along with the right being so dim but it is not safe. I work 2 or 3 nights a week so it is difficult. It is that way whenever the lights are on.”
