“I have a 1998 s-10 chevy Blazer that has an ABS problem. The brakes are unable to stop the vehicle at a safe distance. 90% of the time the brake pedal resists pressure being put on it and pushes back. I had the ABS fuse removed to disconnect the system and the problem ceases. My mechanic says the ABS sensors will have to be replaced at a cost over $1000.00. This vehicle is up for inspection this month and will not pass because of this problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10152577, filed 2006-03, 97,499 miles

“First noticed excessive activation of ABS under normal driving conditions on icy pavement. Now intermittent activation of ABS under normal driving conditions on dry pavement & on wet but not standing water pavement. Faulty ABS activation is occurring several times a week. Have not corrected problem. Intermittent failure of windshield wipers. Occurs occasionally. They will not work at all & then will start working at some point later. Have not corrected the problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10275258, filed 2009-06, 100,000 miles

NHTSA complaint #10116874, filed 2005-04, 98,000 miles
