“I was driving about 35mph going straight when my chevy Blazer acted as if it 'hit a brick wall' and came to a complete stop. I got out and noticed my right, front wheel was completely smashed into my car. Something had come loose internally and locked up my wheel. It damaged my car so bad where my suspension was damaged. It had to be towed. It was non drivable. My vehicle only had 1300 miles on it. I decided at last minute to not get on highway.”

NHTSA complaint #11373091, filed 2020-11, 1,300 miles

“Rearview camera and back up camera constantly not functioning and going black while and motion or backing up. Car acts like there is something in front of it (like a wall) on certain roads and does not want to accelerate to turn/pull out from a stopped position. I have had this vehicle for 2 months. I have had a car prior to this that did this before and stopped and left me stranded on a busy road and caused an accident. I can't believe this car is acting like this!”

NHTSA complaint #11414919, filed 2021-05, 8,665 miles

“I was driving and steering reduced drive with caution notification and brake assist notification came on and then engine light and the temp gage went to cold and stayed there. My steering stiffened up making it hard to steer. This is a known problem with the Chevy blazers and it had to do with the thermostat needing replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #11749661, filed 2026-07

“When I try to park the car, it says shift to park. Sometimes I can’t get the car to go into park to exit the vehicle or other times. I’ve shut the door and it has stayed on with the accessories because it won’t shut off”

NHTSA complaint #11693643, filed 2025-10

“Vehicle: 2020 Chevrolet Blazer Issue: “Shift to Park” malfunction Description: The vehicle repeatedly displays a “Shift to Park” warning message even when the gear selector is fully placed in Park. Because of this issue, the vehicle does not always shut off properly and may continue running electrical systems after the engine is turned off. …”
