“Please look into this issue, very dangerous! I was on my way home from work driving on the northeast extension of the pa turnpike heading south, and I was between exit 95 & exit 87 on friday 8/2/19 at approx. 3:30 pm. I was driving the posted speed limit of 70 MPH and was not using cruise control when the car abruptly shifted into low gear, flashed a 'reduced power mode' warning, and went into a 'limp' mode where it was slowing down to eventually stop itself, but I was at 40 or 35 when I pulled over. …”

NHTSA complaint #11244743, filed 2019-08, 40,000 miles

“While at stop light, vehicle began to jerk. Dealership couldn't repeat issue since it only occurred when engine was cold. Issue persisted and became worse. Vehicle stalled as if it was out of gas. Started again after a few minutes. Next day started without issue but began to jerk when applying breaks more than usual. Parked and turned off to run into store. Vehicle wouldn't start again. Towed to mechanic.”

NHTSA complaint #11308100, filed 2020-02, 80,000 miles

“Rear main seal, issue causes the oil pressure to fail. If not stopped immediately, the engine block blows and destroys the engine. This is a known problem with the 2017 Equinox, but has not been recalled yet”

NHTSA complaint #11538900, filed 2023-08, 85,482 miles

“PCV valve got clogged and failed, i have an extended warranty and the extended warranty EXCLUDES this from any repairs if this is involved. Caused my Rear Main Seal to break and leak oil. Not drivable currently. Quoted 3200 on a repair. Purchased the vehicle less than 12 months ago.”

NHTSA complaint #11643969, filed 2025-02

“The exhaust is coming into the cab. Was told that Chevy is allowed to kill people slowly with carbon dioxide poisoning. Also was told NHTSA is paid by Chevy to keep the information of the exhaust issue under wrapps. I understand killing babies is no crime in the liberal world but I am not an ugly liberal.”
