“Airbag light comes on, on the passenger side when no one is sitting in the seat. The light comes on for service. The light would come on once I put the car in drive or once I put the vehicle in park. The first time the light would come on and go off but the second time the light stayed on.I took my car to the dealer twice and it was a bad sensor in the seat. It took a week to get the part from the manufacturer.”

NHTSA complaint #11241989, filed 2019-08, 47,000 miles

“I keep getting a message airbag service and the light comes on and stays illuminated. I took the vehicle to malcolm cunningham Chevrolet on 15 oct 2018. I was told that everything checked out fine and that there is no issue. I dont understand this because it has happened numerous times and I am concerned about my safety. This has happened when I start the vehicle and while I am driving I will get the message.”

NHTSA complaint #11140437, filed 2018-10, 20,665 miles

“Airbag light started coming on and going off randomly. It began becoming more frequent so I took it to ourisman Chevrolet to get it checked out. I was told that the passenger seat occupancy sensor and airbag module were bad and needed to be replaced, and for $1979 they could repair it, imagine that. I let them know that if I had to put that kind of money in an airbag every 55,000 miles I would be looking at an airbag light for the next 10 years.”

NHTSA complaint #11197110, filed 2019-04, 55,000 miles

“My airbag light has been on now roughly two months and sometimes I'm actually scared to drive the car hoping that it won't deploy while I'm driving but it's my only means of transportation to get back and forth to work.I have checked all fuses I have gotten someone to put a tester light on it to make sure the wires are not brokenand there is no problem with the fuses all the wires so I have no idea what the problem is and the car was stationary when it first came on”

NHTSA complaint #11344012, filed 2020-08, 75,000 miles
